Bloom is a personal project designed to explore the intersection of 3D illustration, motion, branding and storytelling. Framed as a plant care app, it centers on individuality and attention — brought to life through stylized design, custom modeling, and expressive animation. We handled all 3D and animation work, from layout to final renders, translating rough storyboards into dynamic scenes. The goal was to push creative direction, visual development, and technical execution in a cohesive pipeline.

Bloom is more than just an app — it’s a space where plants and people grow together. Designed to be a gentle assistant for life’s small rituals, it invites you to care slowly, observe with intention, and celebrate each quiet moment of growth.
We had the pleasure of shaping this sensitive and vibrant universe. Our goal was to connect people with nature inside their own homes, blending lightness with personality. Everything was crafted to create an experience that not only works — but resonates. Because caring for a plant is also, in many ways, caring for yourself and your space.

Bloom stands out for representing houseplant care as an expression of identity. Driven by core values like empathy, education, sustainability, fun, and innovation, Bloom is dedicated to simplifying your plant care journey. Its mission is to make gardening approachable, informative, and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of their experience level.

Bloom colors reflect diversity, transformation, and self-expression. Each color scheme symbolizes a unique care journey. The palette brings life, warmth, and emotional connection to the experience. It’s a visual metaphor for growth, joy, and authenticity.

With the base illustrations from the storyboard, we created the 3D compositions of the project using Blender. The process involved modeling, lighting, look development, and animation.

The animations for the project were created in Blender and subsequently completed with the addition of secondary animations and finishing touches in After Effects. The entire process involved a hybrid workflow of 2D and 3D animation.
